Dawn pursued her dream business by creating a professional space in her home based therapy room in the rural village of Highley, Bridgnorth in Shropshire. With a broad career background and qualifications in health, beauty and education; you can be rest assured you will receive a bespoke service that aims to improve overall health and wellbeing. ​

Notes from Dawn...

As a busy mother of twins, wife and therapist the opportunity to start my own business working flexibly from my home studio was a dream come true. I began my working career by completing a Holistic Therapy Diploma. Alternative therapies really were my first love! I went on to gain diplomas in Indian Head massage, nutrition, Counselling and Anatomy and Physiology. I also become a fully qualified beauty therapist continuing to train in many different fields within this sector including n advanced skin care and semi-permanent makeup. I gained experience in salons and managed my own therapy room in an alternative health clinic where I treated oncology patients and the elderly with complex health needs.

Following a long career break to raise my family my own personal journey battling with anxiety and panic attacks drew me back into the world of alternative therapy. I decided I wanted to share my passion along with the knowledge I'd discovered on my own healing journey . I desired to create a business focused on promoting health and wellness that was diverse and unique in the way that therapies are intuitively blended. I designed services which meet clients physical, social, mental and emotional needs and promoted empowerment in self discovery. I have a thirst for learning new knowledge and possess a L4 adult teaching qualification and an Assessors award. I am a certified cognitive behavioural coach which supports the therapies I offer.

concept
BODY MIND SOUL
The concept of HENYO is to provide clients with a bespoke and integrated holistic self care plan. The body is addressed as a whole providing alternative health or skin care treatments that consider the physical, social, emotional and spiritual needs of the individual. We aim to to resolve the roots of problems that are impacting on health and wellness and guide clients to stimulate their own healing journey. Therapies encourage the discovery of deeper connections between the physical body and mental health making them a valuable tool for regulating the nervous system. Treatments recommended at HENYO are to be received alongside the medical advice of your GP or consultant and are not a replacement for any health care or medications that you may currently be receiving. We are unable to diagnose any medical conditions. A consultation is carried out prior to any treatments taking place to ensure that there are no contraindications to performing a specific treatment. The therapist reserves the right to request medical history and information that may determine which self care treatment is suited to the individual.
SKIN
HENYO offers advanced skincare combined with specialised massage techniques designed to tackle many skin concerns. Skin is treated holistically taking into consideration lifestyle factors that may be contributing to poor skin health. Combined with lymphatic drainage and carefully selected products that deliver results, there are a range of relaxing facial treatments to suit every skin type and condition.
Face & Body
Holistic treatments are set to address the root cause of issues negatively affecting your health and wellbeing. We aim to reach optimal health status , whether it be to treat musculoskeletal conditions or female health concerns, massage therapy with the use of essential oils is very beneficial. We may also prescribe advanced massage techniques for individuals suffering with pain; these complementary therapies are the perfect accompaniment to traditional medicine to assist with healing, recovery and rejuventation.

The Lift & Contour
